Emma has always had a passion for makeup. Her mum was a beautician, she owned a salon for over 25 years and then went on to be a freelance makeup artist. She was always teaching Emma tricks and tips about skincare and makeup. Most teenage girls had posters of pop stars and boy bands when they are young, Emma tore beauty campaigns from magazines and put them on her wall. She was always drawn to the hair and makeup in VOGUE, Glamour and Marie Claire magazines.
Prior to training as a Makeup Artist, Emma worked in the fashion PR & marketing industry. Working with magazines, London Fashion Week, bloggers, influencers, stylists and celebrity clients such as Millie Mackintosh, Rosie Fortescue, Laura Whitmore and Zara Martin has served her well when working with clients in tight deadlines and high-pressure situations. She comes from a creative background in fashion but has found her passion is being a make up artist. She trained at the prestigious DFMA make up academy in London under several top makeup artists and photographers such as Davinia Fermi, Anna Baxter, AJ Juttla, Jane Aspinall, Gemma Wheatcroft and Roger Charles.
Her style and ethos revolve around creating fresh & modern makeup looks for her style savvy clients. Stunning natural and flawless make up to accentuate the natural beauty of her clients. She feels makeup should be bespoke to you, your skin tone and type, seen rather than felt on the skin, ensuring a natural feel is so important to Emma. She understands and has the skills to create make up that both photographs beautifully and looks wonderful up close.
Being a makeup artist for weddings is her passion but it isn’t where it ends, she is constantly challenging herself by throwing herself into exciting photoshoots, attending masterclasses by the top makeup brands such as NARS, MAC, Armani, Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury to name a few and pushing boundaries by experimenting with new trends, styles and techniques she learns. She follows the world’s leading hair and makeup artists on social media, and is constantly trying new looks that inspire her.
When Emma isn’t doing makeup she’s usually meeting friends and family, enjoying holidays with her boyfriend & exploring London or her old home town Dublin.
Please do give Emma a call or send her a message, she would love to have a chat with you about your wedding make up.
